How To Record A Phone Call On Any Android Smartphone
In your personal as well as professional life, you talk to your friends, relatives, family members, or even clients for business dealing. Sometimes, you find it hard to recall what exactly a person told you during the phone. The conversation could be very important for you or the person whom you were talking to. Recording the phone call, especially the important one, can help you use it whenever you need it in your personal or professional life. Yeah, you may need to get permission from that person. There are several ways to record a phone call on an Android phone. Here are some of them.
Record a Phone Call on Android with the Phone App
- Open the Phone app on your Android smartphone.
- Dial a mobile number to make a call or receive an incoming call.
- Click on the Record tab to record an ongoing call. It could be an incoming or outgoing call.
- Tap on the Stop Recording option when you wish to stop recording a phone call.
Note – It is usually hard to record a conference call, a call in progress, or the call is on hold. These steps may not work if your smartphone has an earlier version of Android, older than Android 9.
To turn on Automatic call Recording for unknown or selected numbers, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Go to the Phone app option on your Android device and tap on the Settings that is located at the top of the screen.
- Click on Record calls automatically after selecting the right option – All Numbers or Selected Numbers.
Record a Phone Call on Android with the Google Voice App
As a VoIP (voice-over internet protocol), this app allows users to make or receive a call over the internet from any place at any time. This app can help you record an incoming call. For this, you need to download the app and have a Google Voice account. The steps to follow are as follows:
- Receive the incoming call you are willing to record.
- Press the key 4 to start the incoming call.
- Press this key again when you want to stop the ongoing phone call recording.
- Access this recorded call in the voicemail tab under Google Voice.
Record a Phone Call on Android with Another Phone
- Open the Phone app on your Android smartphone.
- Make or receive a call.
- Take another smartphone you have in your house.
- Go to the Recorder app by scrolling down the list under All Apps or Tools.
- Tap on the Recording sign to start recording the conversation you are having on your Android phone. And click on the same option when you want to stop recording. Find the recorded calls after pressing three dots/lines located at the bottom under the Recording app.
